So my wee Syrian Scout has still been settling into her new home with me. She's living up to her name, having already had a grand adventure. And by grand adventure, I mean escape. o_O (Long story short: playtime, box too shallow, Dally too slow, room too full of hiding places. I got her back in the cage okay, but... yeah. Learned a valuable lesson there. Never underestimate a hamster.) Since the Great Escape, I've been giving her some quiet time to settle down again, but thankfully she seems none the worse for wear so far. (I'm keeping an eye on her though.)
Now, I said I'd post pictures Scout, and earlier today she seemed fairly relaxed so I managed to get a few snaps. My apologies for the darkness; the location of her cage isn't great for lighting.
About to start warming up on her wheel.
Baby's first broccoli! You can't see it very well because it's in the shadow, but trust me, it's there.
See? Told ya!

This was after she'd decided she'd had enough veg but was obliging enough to face the camera for me.
Immediately after the last picture Scout decided she'd had enough of the photo shoot and retired to her chambers. So that's all for now. Might be able to get some better ones when she's out and about.

(I also might have to post a photo of her underside if I need help determining with she
is in fact female; we're not actually sure!)
Now I expect I'm biased but I think she's about the cutest wee girl I could've hoped for. ^_^ Also, I
think her colouring is sable banded? Do tell if you know otherwise!
