I used to close all doors on first floor landing and doors leading off the hallway - and my little hammies would have a good run up and down the stairs and hallway. I would ofcourse sit on the stairs watching. Also spread out some toys.
That's such a lovely idea! The stairs must be great exercise for the little hams. The cat who lives next door is usually over in our house, which will make it tricky to let Scout have free reign of the stairs and hall (she lives in my room, where the cat isn't allowed), but I reckon we could shoo him back home long enough to let Scout have a good explore every so often when she's older.
