Re: Do any of u own russian dwarfs?
Put the cardboard box in the cage open it and just leave her to come out on her own she will be nervous at first so leave her to settle in

Re: Do any of u own russian dwarfs?
It varies with each hamster average life span is about 2 years but some can go on to live longer i can't remember how old the hamsters i had when i was younger lived to i had maya who was a syrian but had to have her PTS due to health issues she was just under 2 years and would have probably lived much longer had she not been ill i currently have a syrian carmine who im guessing is a year but could be older and a robo totoro who is 2 - 3 months old. What facts do you want to know about them?

Re: Do any of u own russian dwarfs?
I don't know much about russian hamsters as i was 8 when i owned them and didn't have much knowledge on hamsters back then at the moment i currently have only owned syrians and a robo. I think kyrilliondaemon would be a good person to ask to ask about them as i know she owns hybrids or post i thread in the dwarf campbells russian hamster section asking people on there about them

Re: Do any of u own russian dwarfs?
Uhm they're really not that different fact wise, compared to other hamsters. Being 'russians' they'll be diabetes prone, so feed a sugar free diet, but other than that..well our hybrids have always had the same care to other species. Some have been lazy (Pumpkin) and some have been extremely active (ahem, Tubbs).
