Kiki, it's too bad the Igor still has 1/2" bar spacing. I've thought about that too because some day I could see myself getting 1 or 2 robos. I think they're adorable! They're like hummingbirds with fur and without wings. They're impossibly quick! The Kevin looks like a nice cage though, and you would still get the dark bars. That would probably look nice on the black vekto stand.

The only problem I saw was the front right of the cage was ever so slightly bent which I was easily able to straighten. The front door does not move from side to side. (I just tried it!). That was my experience. Buying it on Amazon is $40 more now.
Thanks! I think I'm going to wait until it's back in stock through Dr Foster Smith. Good to know it's suitable for a Syrian! Was your Syrian young when he or she moved into it? Nigel is only 6 weeks old, so
Still has some growing to do. I'm hoping the bar spacing will be okay for him?

Hi Enh, I know it's hard to tell from a picture, but this is the size my hamster was when he first moved in. I think he was maybe 8 weeks at that time. The wheel behind him is an 11" wodent wheel. The other picture is his cage now. For reference, I fit a 12" flying saucer and a 12" wheel attached to the side of the cage, so there's a pretty good amount of space. Also, the front door is huge!! It makes accessing the cage for cleaning really easy. Hope this helps.
Sorry to barge in on your thread Kiki, but I know we've chatted about this cage also.

Enh, just out of curiosity, what store were you in when you saw the Kevin?

I was at That Fish Place/That Pet Place in Lancaster, PA. I used to live in Lancaster and go back often to visit friends (only live an hour away now) and I was excited to see that they carry it. It looked HUGE!

I'm excited to get one! I'm going to wait until August when it's back in stock. Gives me some more time to save too. My husband would kill me if he knew how much I was planning to spend on "just a hamster", lol!

It is a lot to spend, but unfortunately, in the US, good cages that are available are expensive. You'll always have it though.
