Well its no good saying 'we want more shows' when we don't even have a show manager - and Chris has made it very clear that she will not be standing again.
No show manager = no shows.
What exactly does a show manager do? Chris does so many bits and bobs with her different roles its a bit hard to tell whats what!
Show manager finds venues, books halls and judges. Arranges show secretaries and makes sure they have correct stationery, book stewards, pen stewards, kitchen staff, tombola/ raffle, etc. All in all - quite a difficult job.
Yeah it sounds like a job that means you need to be at every show, i'd love to help more but since I don't drive its hard to make a commitment. Booking things would be doable from afar but then you need someone actually at the show sorting everyone out...
