Just got on the first of many trains at 6:04! I shall be getting to Ryder station for just gone 10 so see you guys just after that!
Trollymobile is surviving! It's sturdy and much Easyer then carrying both large carriers! Haha

Up and ready just got to wake Mr Bobtail so he can help with the hams now! We leave in 40minutes

The only think I am worried about is the fact I was awoken at 5am by Fatty throwing his toys around the cage in a strop, if he is in a mood today it will not be a good show for the judges as he gets really uppity and nippy. Fingers crossed he has settled down and the car journey wont upset him.

I was volunteered to judge pets - all 22 hamsters, 2 gerbils and 2 rabbits. There were a few pets I would have snuck in my pocket, especially the scrummy cream winner (which is something from me as I don't really like creams!), the little three legged golden, the splatty winter white and the smooshy black bunny. Thank goodness I didn't have pockets! It was lovely to snuggle lots of lovely hams and no-one tried to bite (hamster or pet owner!) ... which was nice

Haha that wasn't my splatty winter white by any chance was it? She was in a clear carrier with a blue lid, green wheel, yellow sand bath and grey house?

I actually have been home since about 5.30 but I was so tired I crashed out on the sofa and nearly went to sleep! My hammies didn't do too badly especially Kiku & Jení as it was their first time in the main class. Fatty didnt place in pet class but I don't mind as it was only his first show, Thistle took reserve which is still a placement in my books She is now officially retired!

I also made a shock discovery today after reading a note on their show pen, on one of the stickers were the words "no tail" and I was pretty darn sure they both had tails last week but as they were some of the first dwarfs judged I had to wait until the very end of the day to get them off the bench and find out who it was that didn't have a tail!!!
Now I have absolutely no idea where it has gone but Jení is tailless!!! All she has is a stump where it used to be! I was in complete shock as she has obviously lost it at some point this week but I have seen no blood or anything to suggest she had lost a body part! Sadly it does mean an end to her showing days before they have begun as it lost her a lot of marks, Kiku will keep on showing but it will be alone in future

Anyway we had a fab day got some wonderful new hams met some great people and we have lots of photos to share later! Also I only just remembered this morning it is/was Kiku and Jenís first birthday today!

We've been in under an hour. Did a detour to visit my parents for a while on the way home and driving back took a while too.

We had a great time, congrats to all of Vectis's hams and Kiku and Jeni

We didn't have the floods I was dreading, but did instead have Fwirl kindly behave really well all day... Apart from when Vectis wanted to try and pick her up for pet class judging. Still really pleased with our little girl, we've had her eight weeks today and she's gone from a biter to a ham willing to play "pass the hamster" and meet quite a few new people so she did fantastically
Also had Scamp with us who enjoyed every second of attention she could get (as per usual lol) and managed to get second in pet class

I also got to meet loads of great people and great pets, including Squeak, Fat Face and Link the bunny (as just some of those I got to hold). Also saw and got to stroke many more so had a great time

Am absolutely exhausted now and I think Scamp and Fwirl could probably both sleep for about a week now lol. Great day though, and thanks everyone who helped make it so fantastic

Fat face is just one of the best! Erin, I almost ham napped him, but you didn't take your eyes off me while I had a cuddle with him, and very wise that was. Didn't get to cuddle Scamp and Fwirl, but they looked sooooooo cute!

I met some gawgus hams today, too many to speak of, and some wonderful owners. Poor Erin, I scared the wiggins out of her and Mr Bobtail when they were both half asleep. I came a millimetre to buying a tiny Chinese ham...but I couldn't figure out where to put the cage, so I was very brave and didn't buy one.
