Cardiff Show - 23rd June 2012

Eeeek excited, just started getting the show pens/carriers out of attic, will wash and fill them tomorrow!

hehe I am 95% ready
I have got all my lunch bits from work, my cooler bag, ice block in the freezer getting ready, a bottle of drink to take with me...
baby wipes, hand gel, medicine...

3 pet class syrian carriers, with names on this time thought ild join in the fun (and if anyone wants to see hush just poke me, I will be wearing a red leather jacket )
Bunnys have their carrier and crate, hay all ready, just need to pack water bottle and food for them
add hamsters, veg and something from their cages and we are ready to go!

I know I made something similar, but the previous one broke down and was useless.. I was going to use my mums shopping trolly, but it was too small for the rabbits smaller carrier, and it was too short to stack 3 hamster carriers
I saw my dads lifty draggy thing in the boatshed and thought "I have a cunning plan.."

top carrier is hush puppys, she is carried seporate, just to be safe!

a strap holding the bottom one on, and a belt holding the bottom and top to it

we was originally going by car, but my friends mother has a bit of a cold now and isnt up to driving us, so we are going by train.
we will get there just after 10, see you guys then!!

eta: and one smaller 'dwarf' carrier (syrians can fit, just I like bigger ones XD ) just in case!

Someone has threatened us with floods. If they happen I will not be happy. I've spent the last 10 minutes telling Alex they're not allowed lol
We had floods a week or two ago and they made us all miserable and made me do an absurdly long shift at work. This time they'd make me miss Cardiff and thats worse.

On a bright side, my shift was earlier than expected today (very last minute change of shifts thanks to train problems) so I have the entire evening to work out anything I forgot and sort it out

What time are people going tomorrow to the show? I'm going early because my OH is playing bowls in the afternoon.

We should be there around 12ish then staying for most of the afternoon. Will definetly be there until at least 3 since we're entering pet class with both the girls.

Travel safely all and have a great day. Looking forward to reading all about it. Expecting to see photos of new additions, hush, benched hamsters, pet class hamsters, - the whole thing basically.

We will be there at around 9.30 depending on traffic, 9.45 at the latest We have to get Kiku & Jení benched by 10am and then Fatty & Thistle will be hanging around on the pet class table until its time to enter them at about 1.30 My DSLR is coming with me so I will be getting a ton of photos this year (something I wish I had done at last years shows!)

Just the last minute preparations now, the hammies will all be brushed, given sand baths, claws clipped and given a quick health check before we put them in the travellers tomorrow. Very excited!

I'm really excited, Just cleaning out their show pens and putting in the cat litter.. Don't forget to ask peoples permission when taking pics though as some people can be a bit funny x

We've got Scamp and Fwirls carry cages sorted now. Had Scamp explore hers earlier (after she was done playing in my pocket anyway lol) so she'll definetly remember it too.
Now we just need to get up early tomorrow and drive a lot. Should be fun

I get the added fun of seeing my family and their pets after the show before we go home though. Makes it even longer for us and the girls but they can sleep through that part since they'll be tucked up safely in my (guaranteed dog-free) room when we're there.

I'll have the camera but make no guarantees about taking photos. I utterly failed at the last two shows and if I take any this time I plan for it to be proof I met certain hamsters lol
