Sandpaper sounds absurdly horrible to allow a hamster to run on!

I certainly wouldnt relish the idea of running that fast on something rough. Why on earth would I want to make hams do it?
Also Soufflé has never been wrong regarding these things and I would trust soufflé and her input over most.. She is a highly experienced hamster owner.
There are other safer alternatives to sandpaper! I would much rather use those. Although my Syrians natural antics keep their nails trim enough that it's not a problem. Although I do know some hamsters have problematic teeth and nails, most are fine
