Default Travel cages?

So mum, Me and my sister have been sadly through some troubles with family. Anyway I might need a travel for Richard. All the ones that I have looked at fine but they are way to expensive for something that will only be used once or twice. I've looked at ones on Amazon again they are fine but I would quite like him on the back seats between me and my sister so it can't be to big

Can't you use a carrier for the journey and then have another cage ready for the end of the journey?

Hi. I saw this one. It's bigger than the ones you take them to the vet in, but not too big to fit on a car seat between two people I reckon. Big enough to have a little house and a toy, some food, a chew, and its deep for substrate - not sure what you would do about a water bottle though - it might be possible to rig one up through the vent holes. It's £11.95 and measures 40cm x 22cm and 30cm high - about half the size of a proper sized hamster cage. It might be better than those smaller carriers if it is for a long journey, but a hamster couldn't live in it and would need to go back in a cage the next day (sorry if I'm stating the obvious!).

The other one I was looking at was the rabbit sized Ferplast Aladino, which is smaller (36 x 26 x 23) but costs £17. If it was me, I'd go for the bigger one - the first one - if you think it will fit. It's a bit wide at the top, but narrower further down.

Really sorry for your upheavals - I hope you move on to something much better.
