Default Tools for Bin Cages

Hi all. S'been a while. I just got this tool for various bin projects and I thought I'd share. Plaid ® Wood Burner & Craft Tools | Plaid Enterprises

It works as well or better than my soldering iron. Mostly, it's the same thing but has different tips, my fav being a pointy thin one that slices through the plastic much easier than the bit on the soldering iron. It has an on/off switch and comes with 5 different tips, only two or three of which I think I'll find useful.

I tried making my own electric hot razor by attaching two leads to either side of an utility blade mounted in a rubber handle. Then I attached the other ends of the leads to a small 9v battery from a kid's toy vehicle. I'm not saying this can't work, but on mine, the rig was cumbersome, it sometimes arced across the blade and the leads would come off if I slipped and cut too deep. I'm just an armature though. Some one else here might be able to get this to work. A hot, razor-thin blade that you don't need to go from flame to cut to flame to cut is what I was going for.

What tools do you ladies and gents find useful?

I do whatever with it lol once you start to play with it you'll get a feel for how it works

Tip: try to find one that has a number dial not a slider (mines a slider 1-10 uncle has the outher type where you can actually control the rpm on it I think)

I just used it to drill holes in a box we were fixing I also used it to pull plastic bits it cut the sides offa the boardwalk and the holes in the top of my bin even the zip tie holes --some I could have used outher tools for but outhers the dremel was actually simpler and more pratical --while at the store try to get a feel for it and how it works --I grew up with and had used one prior to getting mine so I knew the basics of them

Woah, As I looked at the picture, I realized I have the same one xD

thought of using it (:

As I've said I love mine lol I prefer my uncles (that you can dial a specific rpm as opposed to mine with on/off)
