Re: All About My Sherbet
You can always rely on support here, I found it really helped me when I lost Archie & Twinkle and when they were ill. Here, you're understood and can talk about your little hams and not be judged because you love hamsters.
Thanks Cypher - the heart gives it that personal touch. I've bookmarked the page.

Re: All About My Sherbet
I've just caught up with this SKB after being away for a bit. I am so sorry about Sherbet. You gave her the most wonderful care and attention in her old age Xxxx

Re: All About My Sherbet
Thank You Thin Lizzy, I always find changing my daily routine so difficult and it so hard as Sherbet was a big part of my daily routine - I kind of feel lost to what to do instead. I do like looking at photos of Sherbet and my past hamster since you can see their personality and remember all the good times you had with them all and the lessons they taught you. I'm planning of doing a photo book with my hamsters photo so it will be easier to look through and see them all. I appreciate the support here it easier when people understand what you are going through and who also have a big love for hamsters to.
Thank you Cypher, the support here is really helpful and I really appreciate it and it makes me feel better going through this difficult time. That photo album looks really nice.
Thank You Serendipity7000. I did everything I could for Sherbet through everything she been through lately it so sad that she couldn't continue to remain strong and it was hard seeing that she was losing weight daily. It hard at the moment as I'm missing her loads but I'm trying to remember the good times I had with her in which I have many off. Thank You for your support to me and Sherbet since her accident I have really appreciated your kind words.

Re: All About My Sherbet
It's funny, but, yesterday I bought a DipDab - actually I bought 4 for a £1. DipDab the sherbet dip with a strawberry lolly and I thought of you SKB & Sherbet. I use to eat these when I was youngster.

Re: All About My Sherbet
Sherbet was named after a few of my favourite sweets when I was younger including Sherbet Lemons, Double Dip Sherbet and DipDabs. So it nice that the DipDabs reminded you of me and Sherbet.

Re: All About My Sherbet
Aww, it's funny how we sometimes choose their names. Don't forget Sherbet Strawberries.
The DipDab was so tasty.
How are you doing?

Re: All About My Sherbet
I found it really hard finding a name which suited Sherbet, she didn't have a name for 2 days I kept trying her with different names until I finally decided on Sherbet.
I didn't really like Sherbet Strawberries as much as Sherbet Lemons.
I am doing okay, yesterday was a little hard as it was a week since having Sherbet pts so was a little difficult and upsetting as I still miss her loads. I'm trying to keep myself busy doing things I enjoy doing to help me to be happy and to keep my mind occupied but I'm still adjusting to the change in routine especially evening cuddle time with Sherbet as I'm really missing it.

Re: All About My Sherbet
The first week is always hard, and so understand you missing her and her cuddles. It's strange with names because the minute I saw Twinkle in the pet shop and reserved her, I had settled on that being her name. With Harvey, It was harder, tried calling him Mr Snow, Bounty and even Benny.
Harvey sends whisker kisses to you xxx

Re: All About My Sherbet
I find the first week especially hard too, I guess we all do, we get so set in our ham routines the adjustment is really difficult & just reminds us of how much we miss them.
Wish there was an easy way to get through this but there isn't but I'm glad your doing ok & we're all thinking of you & sending hugs.

Re: All About My Sherbet
I am sure you must miss her terribly and the week anniversary is hard. That day is past now xxxx A new distraction or project may help with some of the feelings - not to forget but just to maybe allow 10 minutes twice a day to remember, while you are busy - hugs.
