well recently i noticed that milos back is kind of bent when he runs, and looking at it was bothering me, he has the 81/2 inch wheel which is the minimum, so due to this I started to save money since I dont have a steady source of income at the moment. And yesterday I finally got enough for the 12" wheel which I pretty excited about. But considering I am going to be very busy today with homework and exams (im taking a break right now writing this lol) I thought it was best I would get it yesterday to just get it out of the way and so that i dont have to worry about it. So I went to the pet store and got it, and well its huge. I of course expected it to be bigger, since it's obviously would be but its so big, im really glad i upgraded my cage when i did because idk if it would've fit in milos previous cage lol.

also side note, im very excited because today i might get an ovo extension to add on to the cage, and im very excited as i have been wanting one for ages and i found someone who is going to sell them to me for a cheaper price. the only concern is the tubes. If the tubes are too small ill probably just use it for a different hamster, since i have been wanting a robo, but if the tubes are a good size ill see if milo likes them.

well i got the ovo additions and well their far too small for milo lol, but they would make great add ons to a robo or mouse cage, which is great because i would love to adopt either. Only problem is convincing my parents lol, till then ill have to find a different way to use the ovo things

last night i woke up to him running on it faster than i have ever seen him run before, so I think he likes it. the only thing is that the wheel makes noise so i had to tweak it a bit, but now it is completely silent so he can run and i can sleep lol

Milo's so adorable. How did you tweak the comfort wheel to run silent? It sounds like a bevy of helicopters in my room at night because everyone save Eve has a comfort wheel.

since comfort wheels tend to squeak a lot i put a little bit of olive oil in the spindle so that stops the squeaking and allows the wheel to go faster, then i cut a piece of cloth as i have found that works best and wrap it around the back of the wheel so that the bucket dosnt hit the back platform and so that the noise stops. Only thing is you have to glue it so that the cloth dosnt pop out and your hammy dosnt chew on it.

Well just thought i would update on some things that have been going on.

For starters, since the tubes i got with the habitrail items were too small, my boyfriend was super kind and bought me some so that milo can fit in them and use the habitrail things as an extension to his cage. But there is one problem... he is not a fan of tubes and unless the tubes themselves are horizontal he will go thorough them no problem but if they are vertical he is less of a fan, and as for the tubes that turn and for a lack of words, the L shaped tubes, he hates those. Like he will for the most part refuse to go through those unless he has to. By that I mean unless he really wants to get to the other end, also when going down the tubes he likes to take a little snooze with his entire body going vertical (head facing down and butt in the air (but in the tubes)) its so weird lol, and makes me uneasy after a while. But during playtime when we have out of cage time and i include the tubes he will go in no problem like its nothing, so idk.
