Pebbles and Sponge

Hello all

I have moved both Syrians in to my house now, as I was not happy being without them...and since Sponge chewed a hole in the Alexander cage I really felt that he needed to be with me rather than at my mother's house.

Little Pebbles has been with me a week and a half, and is a wonderful lil girl. Cute, hyper, yet loving cuddles, she is in the unholed Alexander and loves it. She is moving in to a ZZ2 tomorrow (fingers crossed the shop I have ordered it from gets it in!) and then I will be blocking the holes with Acrylic Putty.

Sponge and Pebbles have their tank and cage along one wall in the bedroom ( warmest room in the house) untill the back bedroom is sorted. I am used to hammy noises, but my partner is not. The bar chewing, rumbling wheels, and Sponge Monkey barring across the meshed top of the ZZ2 are driving him nuts! Especially as Sponge can smell Pebbles...and as a 6 week make he is very keen on her scent!

No, I am not breeding them, and I have no intention of breeding hamsters. I do not want to move the cages either as they fit so well where they are.

I have not told the OH that Pebbles will come in to heat every 3 days or so...

It sounds like they're doing well, good luck to your OH though lol

They are doing well! sponge loves the playpen, and Pebbles went in it tonight for the first time. I am thinking of buying two rat sized playballs to give them something different every night.

Great to hear Pebbles and Sponge have settled in, as for your OH he'll get use to it in time, I find the noises can be relaxing and help me sleep.
So glad you're not breeding them.
Someone mentioned that to me when I got Twinkle and I was like NO!
I for one wouldn't feel right about doing it and I'd be scared something went wrong!
