Self colours are ones that are one colour all over, like your chocolate lady and my black boy, Biscotti. Biscotti has a pattern though, dominant spot, which makes his belly white. This is different than an agouti hamster, like my Java who is golden. Even if she did not have her band, her belly would be white.
White belly is an interesting gene which, gives your hamster a white belly. On cream colours though it makes roan (so kinda splotch). When you get two Wh genes together though its very bad - the pups are called anopthalpmic (sp?) whites. They have no eyes and no teeth.
I was curious if the white on her belly would mean she might carry it, or if that's a normal amount of white on a self coloured hamster.
Regardless, shes gorgeous. Chocolate is not a colour we see around here at all!
