was looking for a longhaired gf for Leo and got this little girl. shes so pretty and i love minks ...looking forward to cute babies when shes old enough

shes got a lovely temperement just like Leo so looking forward to having lovely babies...good temperement is a good thing to have

im pretty sure that as they both are umbrous that any babies will be umbrous gold and sable? can anyone confirm or dispute this?

yeah babies will be all Umbrous too, if Leo carries cinnamon they could have Minks too, it can carry for several generations so even if you don't know of any cinnamon in the family it could still resurface, I recently had a Cinnamon and a Honey baby in one of my lines that there hadn't been red-eyed babies in for years lol

well its not been in any gens ive worked with but then again neither was longhaired lol

They may not all be umbrous. It depends if either parent has two umbrous genes. (UU) If it does then they will all be umbrous as all babies will get at least one U gene and it is dominant. If both parents are Uu the you have the chance of babies getting UU, Uu (both umbrous) or uu which are not umbrous. genetically 75% will be umbrous and 25% not but litters seldom follow the laws of genetics.
If both parents are LH all the babies will be LH.
What colour is Leo? Is he umbrous?

hes an umbrous golden...i think his mum was Uu cos her mum was Uu as she was bred to a gold banded (she was sable) and half the litter was umbrous....so im guessing the mum is and therefore so is Leo...not sure if thats how it works...i get the other genes umbrous just confuses me...i know one thing whatever they are they will be GORGEOUS!

you will also only get sable if both Mum and Dad carry cream. Now your lovely new mink does, as cream and cinnamon along with umbrous make up mink, but it will depend whether Daddy does or not

yeah Leo carries cream his mum is a cream carrier and his dad was a cream banded i should of put LOL
