My hamster is only young and never bit

but she bit my mum but it ws cos she had some food under her nail

Ohh a tasty finger eh? I'm sure that nibbles was just testing to see whether your mum's finger was food or not. You have given her a very appropriate name

hamsters eyes arent very good at seeing things close to them, so they use their sense of smell more - so if your Mum smelled of food then Nibbles was probably wondering whether he was being given a tasty treat or not!
Hope he doesnt make that mistake again, but in the meantime always wash your hands very well before handling him (and after of course )
