Re: What colour is Mrs De Vil?!
Thank you souffle and Basia for your help! I'm glad she's got eyes though! She' was also quite a bit smaller than her other litter mates, which also added to her charm. Thanks again ^_^

Re: What colour is Mrs De Vil?!
Eyeless hamsters are always pure white and need two copies of the gene to make them eyeless whites - one from the mother and one from the father.
When a hamster gets one copy it shows the one copy as either a very white belly in agouti hamsters like Goldens or with creams and cream based colours (sable and mink) the fur roans which means it is shaded with a darker coloured head in the main colour ie yours are sable and fading down over the back and rump where the colour is ticked over the white.
Should you mate your girls to another roan, which you obviously would never do some of the pups would get two copies and would be pure white with no eyes. These anophthalmic white hamsters can also have other problems like no teeth and deafness and often have short lives.
Hamster like yours would not have no eyes because they only have one copy of the gene which does give a beautiful patterning. Your hamsters have also been combined with a band to give the white band around their middles.
