Re: Leonard's thread :)
Leonard's doing well, took taming slowly because he seemed very scared of being picked up, fine to walk over my hand and take treats from me but would jump to get away from me if I tried to pick him up so took things slowly and now I can pick him up and he will be calm, and he can sit on my knee and be fine too
Also is it normal for them to sleep 'in the open'? He did drag bedding into the little box which he came in which I left in his cage but he'd chewed lots of holes in it on the way home so it was falling apart and he'd weed in it so it was soggy and smelly so I had to throw it away but he'd had it in a week and I replaced it with another cardboard box which he has been in and he does have another box and an actual house I bought but of course he doesn't seem to like haha, so he's bunched some bedding up in a corner and sleeps there, he did do this when he had his box too he occassionally slept in the corner.

Re: Leonard's thread :)
Leonard is very handsome Your taming progress is very encouraging to hear as I'm at that early jumping out of hands straight away phase still. As for sleeping out in the open, my general experience is that they prefer the open but will tend to build a bit of a nest around their sides. From what I've seen on the forum there are a lot of hams who will just park in random spots and nod off, but that there are others who like their little house. I really wouldn't read too much into it
