Well, My mom
finally got around to making me my very own thread. I am one tired hammy tonight. My mom has been messing around with my home. I'm not sure if I should be mad at her or not. All this moving around ...and the noise!!! And she's not even done yet. Sigh... Anyway, I think I'll let her tell you all about it while I go to sleep. It's been a hard day {yawn & stretch}
Hmmm...and after all my work, this is the thanks I get from Patches. Hmmmph!
I really thought I'd be finished with Patches' home today, but, unfortunately, I had to order a soldering iron, and several hamster playpens. Picture this. Two 10 gallon tanks side by side, each with a Tank Topper covering the tanks. One tank topper is going to have 2 sets of shelves, the other, only one (because Patches has a Rat sized Silent Spinner and it is higher that the top of the tank). I used a wire cutter to cut openings on both tank toppers and two panels from two playpens will be attached to each tank topper with a tube connecting each Topper. Patches will be able to just walk from each tank to the other through the tube. She'll have the walking space of 5 10- gallon tanks, a rat sized Silent Spinner and other toys as I go along. The stuff I ordered is supposed to come tomorrow, so I'll have to disturb Her Highness again to complete everything. There will be photos.
I finally used the Boxo bedding/litter with Patches and she loves it! It's much softer than the Carefresh. Is it a little dusty, but not much. Patches ran through it and buried herself thoroughly. One of the tanks has about 6 inches of bedding for her to dig, bury herself, hide and play. She has a tube that has one end buried in the bedding for her to go in also.
I took a bunch of photos of my girl. Hope you like them
. 3 are of Patches with her new sack, which she thinks is neat. One show her new wheel, and another is Patches after lots of running about, getting ready to sleep after a bath.
