Hamburglar!

a while back I asked for confirmation of what colour my Hamburglar is, though it was a little difficult to tell from my phone pictures. now I've got him up at uni with me, I've taken the opportunity to snap some pictures whilst he was exploring (and whilst my boyfriend was meeting him for the first time haha). he most definitely does not have a dark undercoat, if that's any help! all pictures were taken with flash on as well to get a true reflection of his colouring.

I still can't decide if he's a cinnamon banded or just a darker cream banded. he seems to have black eyes but I've been alerted that it's possible they're just very dark red eyes...?

I defiantly agree with souffle, he has a mature cream colour that can be quite confusing when dark cream, banded satin red eyed and utterly gorgeous! i love the tunnel pics best!

If he hasn't got a dark undercoat he can't be cinnamon Cinnamons have a "slate grey" undercoat.

I'd say honey or red eyed cream, depending if he's agouti or self. I seem to remember you saying he was self in your last thread, but I honestly can't tell from the pics.

Also the flash makes him look satin

ah I see! after studying the HC wiki very closely, I'm pretty sure he's self.

but thanks everyone for the help and also the compliments! he is lovely and is much less jittery than when we first brought him home.

By slate grey I mean slate blue but you get the idea

He's a hard one to tell, because if he has cheek flashes they're almost non-existent, and honey hams have almost invisible cheek flashes because their colour is so similar to the base colour, and the fact that he's banded makes looking for the paler crescents difficult I'll take your word for it that he's self because it's easier to tell in person than from pictures which makes him a cream of some sort, probably red eyed cream because of the pale ears.

I did consider that he might be honey so I had a look for cheek flashes, but I'm almost certain I didn't find any. but now you've planted a seed of doubt and I'm going to check again this evening haha. any excuse to get him out for a cuddle!
