They make English a lot harder to learn I'd assume!

Although, I remember when I went to Germany, a lot of the things we were taught in class, weren't actually used anyway, because we were taught odd versions of things.
I have no idea about names, I have a hamster called alfie though, which is great because you can shorten it etc and give him nicknames (his full name is alfonse) so we call him (read - I call him) 'the fonz' 'alfiegator' etc

I called my first hamster "Silly" when I was seven and not able to understand an english word XD It sounded nice to me My parents didn't tell me what it means, that was so cruel, and they laughed so hard >___<

Yeah, Nappy hair I think reffers to the kind of light fluffy hair that babies usually have, which drops out before their normal hair grown in. Ahem, which is now called 'bumfluff' around here.

Re: help me name my new boy:)
Nappy, when referring to horses means one that refuses to do anything. Only heard my gran using pookie, for a cat, it wasn't the cat's name, I think it was more a baby talk version of pussie.

Re: help me name my new boy:)
I would use pookie in place of sweety. I think it's short for pookums... or at least those words are related.
And Nappo - I actually quite like the name Silly for a hamster - it's pretty cute!
I call Sen "Choochie face" which is like "cutie face" but in the same way alex changed pukie to pookie.
All of these "cutsie" words remind me of this video (which is going TOTALLY off topic - but it may have a name in there that someone wants to use): YouTube - The Original Cuppycake Video... I quite like Apple as a name

Re: help me name my new boy:)
Alfie. And then you can sing the "What's it all about, Alfie?" song to him
