Upset Tummy Dwarf Hamster
My dwarf hamster (possibly Winter White?) Mochi, has had a slight upset tummy from yesterday. His stools were very soft and trailed as he walked and smeared places he's been (and sadly staining his lovely white fur).
In himself he is bright and alert, I've watched him drink at his normal rate and groom himself, I don't believe this is wet tail but I am a little worried, is there anything I can give him from home to ease his tummy?
He has fresh water changed every couple days, hasn't consumed any fresh veg or fruit for a long while now and his food hasn't been changed nor has there been any changes that could stress him out.
I must note that he is quite old, 2 years and 6 months old to be exact so this may just be an age thing.
He's happy to be handled by me so I'm confident in thinking he's not in any pain around his stomach. I've wiped his behind with a cotton pad dampened in warm water to stop any matting forming.
Thank you!
- Jodi
