new hamster wheel
hey guys!
at the moment i have the trixie excersize wheel for my hamster, and it was great at the beginning, but it has started to make a lot of noise when she goes on her wheel. it started out as fine, it wasn't loud and i could get through it, but now it sounds like plastic wobbling, as well as the banging noise. this is a problem for me as her cage is in my bedroom.
i was wondering if there were any other good wheels i could get that would last longer, or if it isn't worth it and i should just get another trixie wheel, and replace it every few months.
thanks!

I love love love the silent runner
Silent Runner 12 Inch
Totally brilliant and really quiet. Also washable. Will always have these for hamsters now.

Re: new hamster wheel
I second the silent runner. Excellent wheel. You can hear their little feet tapping away but that's it, no squeaking or banging. I was using mine with the cage attachment but if you have a bin cage or a tank and can't use that you may want to put something heavy on the bottom of the stand, or if your hamster doesn't chew some kind of double sided adhesive underneath the stand itself. Some forum members have found this helps the wheel to be as silent as the cage attachment when using the stand, otherwise it can rock a bit if your ham is an enthusiastic runner

Re: new hamster wheel
I just got the Carolina Storm, and it is 100% quiet. This is a good option if you are in the states or a Canadian with access to a post box on the American side. My hamster adores this wheel more than her last.
