Default Friends new hamster (abuse?)

My friend has a new hamster, thats so adorable, named ginger.
Shes a female syrian with gingerish fur And shes soo cute<3

But heres the problem. My friend doesn't know a thing about
hamters.. Shes living in this dainty old cage, thats way too small
with no toys. And heres the secound problem.. ginger already has
a broken leg from being dropped!

I'm thinking of giving him a list of how to actualy take care of
a hamster, but he may not listen.. What should I do?

It's worth a try, sometimes it's just a case of the person not knowing how to care for the hamster. I'm not condoning the treatment in anyway but maybe some advice from someone who owns hams or has before would help

Has he taken her to the vet over the broken leg? That'd be a good indicator of if he cares enough to want to do right by her.
If he has its definetly worth trying to offer some handy tips (nicely) or to offer to help him learn to handle her more confidently or something.
If he hasn't... Then I'm afraid he probably won't want to spend the money involved in improving her living conditions so it may not be worth the effort.
