Default What can I do with an old hamster cage?

Hey everyone so my dad went and got me this hamster cage from a car boot sale and its pretty much all mix and match and when I say that I mean its got random accessories with it and its two completely diffrent cages put together, the cages are a ferplast and a rotastak so my question is what can I do with this "cage", can I make it into something else for my hamster? Also I would be more than happy to post pictures of what came with the cage e.t.c if u wish to see it as I have no idea what to do with it. Thanks

Post some pics if you can and that would give a better idea of what you have to play with.

The square pink bit is a rotastak carry case and could work well as a bedroom for some hams - our syrian Scamp was sleeping in hers (in her cage) quite recently

The big round bit could maybe be filled with substrate for digging? (After blocking off the side tube hole).

And I'd just cut up the wire cage and use it to mesh a bin cage or make ladders I think. And that leaves the smaller round bit which I'm not sure I can think of a use for...

Ok thank you, I was thinking of maybe adding another cage to it so I could expand it and make it bigger as I have a syrian hamster and they need a good amount of room

I know how much space syrians need - we have two, and even our dwarf cages are above the HC minimum for syrians lol

I'm not sure any of those cages'd be big enough to be worth adding to a syrian cage though. Our Scamp has proven that even loads of modular stuff isn't the same as a big single cage, so those would probably be best off as extras to a big enough stand alone cage - and then they just take up extra room.
