Monmouth Show / Display

Hi guys,

I am coming to my first hamster show held at Monmouth on the 19/20th April.

I have never been before, and wondered which day would be the best to go on for a newbie...the show day (Sat) or the display day (Sun).

I am hoping to get a new addition while i'm there, so would I be right in thinking the Sat would be best, as by the Sun lots will have already been sold?

Its a 1hr 45 min drive from me, and I have previously agreed to look after a friends 2 year old that weekend (Grrr) so I will have a 2 and 3 year old in tow. Hense why I can only make it for one of the days!

Not sure how quickly the sales will sell out but there will be a lot more hamsters to see as the show hamsters will be there.
I'm going on the Saturday too so will look out for you if you do decide to come that day.

I would go Saturday as the breeders will bring one set of hamsters to a show and if they all sell on the Saturday then (as far as I know) there will not be any for sale on Sunday.

You could always email Sue (Bourne Valley) or David/Jean (Tristar) and ask them to keep you back a baby if you wanted? Sue is a member of this forum so you can pm her, and I can provide you with Jean or David's email address if you want?
That way you are guaranteed a baby (especially good if you are looking for a specific colour).

I have Sues details thankyou, as I bought Alvin from her, but I would love the details for Tristar if you don't mind, just incase Sue doesn't have the type that i'd like ready at the moment.

I really need to decide on one type, and just get that one for now, but each time a new photo is posted of another beauty...it makes me rethink!

My current favourite is a SH BEC Satin, and i'm 99% sure thats what i'm after.

I can feel a hamstery coming on!!! Ahhhhhh.......
