RIP Dart and Sammy

2 of my old pets, Dart was my gerbil and sammy was my hamster

Sammy passed away around 3 years ago and Dart died on NYE this last year, I just wanted to share how gorgeous they were

Sammy:


She tried to eat a whole apple ^_^


Dart:


And he tried to steal my sweet and sour... I've obviously had very greedy animals

he was all sticky after that, bless him ^_^ was gutted I couldn't see the new year in with him though I said bye to him before going out to celebrate with friends, as I would before I went anywhere, and when I got home he was lying just outside his bed dead, my OH thinks he died just out of his bed so I could see him and know that he had gone

I did see it coming at some point as he was starting to get swollen at the back, as if he maybe had some form of tumour developing, and was planning a vet visit as soon as they reopened after new year, unfortunately he didn't make it until then though he was almost 3 years old though, so he had a long and happy life at least

I didn't see it coming with Sammy though... I'd only had her a few weeks when we found her dead in bed
