Default calling all US and Canada HC'ers i have a question about Oxbow healthy treats.

Anyone else can too btw.

Ive bought some of the "oxbow healthy veggie treats"
And the ingredients say "garlic powder"

Has anyone tried them?
Thought they'd be good but not with garlic powder.

I have some that I got as a gift from the woman I adopted Coffee from. I noticed that ingredient too, after he had a few.

I stopped using them, but we still have them. Apparently, in pet foods, it's different than, say, garlic in baby food, but I honestly still wouldn't risk it? I've returned treats with onions/leeks and stuff in them before.

I wouldn't risk it. Garlic and onions are the big no-nos in hamster food and treats.

I asked my vet and she said it was perfectly fine. You can always ask your vet or if it's going to still bother you, then it's best just not to.

That's good to know, Esmy. I haven't asked my vet, but I don't go often, unless Java's toe is off, lol!
