Default Cleaning/DIY/fix-up request!!

Hi all,

so...me and my Fiancee are about to exchange contracts on our first house (woohoo so excited!!) which means we will be giving notice on our rented accomodation and need to give it a clean up for inspection (and then hopefully get our £700 deposit back)

The problem is, the first week living in the flat (2 years ago) I managed to go an scratch the worktop in the kitchen....wooops....

They are not huge deep scratches, just 3 surface scratches - but because the worktop is black granite affect, they show up white if you look closely enough.

I wondered if anyone has ever had this problem and if they can offer a touch-up solution????

They are not deep enough to need filling, just something to hide the whiteness of the scratch. Help????

Thank you

Hehe It's an easy thing to do isn't it? We now use a glass worktop saver (horse, bolted much??)

I was thinking maybe black liquid eye liner, which I will try when I get home. Worried this might rub off too easily though

How about a black nail varnish?

Good luck getting your deposit back!

Good luck with the deposit!

I know how you feel, we're moving at the end of this month, and have a very similar deposit we're hoping to get back.
