Rainbow..

Few hours ago,I saw most beautiful rainbow...So strong and perfectly arched from the end to the beginning and back...There was also other rainbow,fainter one beside it...People took time to look,to take a picture.

I paused and thought of all our little furry friends that have gone and will go over...
Made me feel sad...and kind of hopeful.. I was carrying old and sick hamster home...My friend's...I am looking after her other ham since last week as this hammie is old and sick and she can't look after it at this stage(same friend I looked after her first sick and old hammie Millie - for those who remember..)

We were coming home from vets..He said she had just little bit sore eye...I was thinking otherwise...She is almost 2 and a half and Syrian...Beautiful old lady...She is now upstairs with 2 warmed up socks with rice ("2 homemade mini hotwater bottles),I gave her warm subcutaneous fluids ( I am vet nursing student), gave her bit of baby food...and...my heart is breaking as she is going slowly towards the bridge...I just know...

So sad....so thinking about that rainbow...
I hope I didn't make sad anyone else...
I just wanted to say,that we hamster people do such amazing things for our hammies and that is care and love till the end...even when it hurts..

...but it's worth it...Hamsters are amazing!

I will always think of the hamsters who've passed over when I see a rainbow, it's like they're letting us know they're fine.

That was sad but beautiful too Katmick.
Whenever I see a rainbow I think somewhere a hamster is having a safe journey to a place where it will wait in peace for it's loved ones.
