Questions for HC members, I'm curious!
Answer these questions please?
1- What do you call the small, lobster-like crustacean commonly found in creeks and streams?
A: Crawdads
B: Crayfish
C: Crawfish
D: Other(please specify)
2- What do you typically call fizzy drinks such as Sprite, Dr.Pepper, and Pepsi?
A: Pop
B: Soda
C: Coke
D: Other(please specify)
3- You all or y'all?
A: You all
B: Y'all
C: Other(please specify)
My answers: A, B, and C. It depends on if I'm in the country or the city!
I'm just curious, they did a study like this and I thought it was interesting. Your turn! Thanks

1. All 3 lol
2. Soda
3. You all (but makes me think "all of you" instead)
I moved from CA to NC but I will never change how I talk. It's fun listening to true southerners though!

I don't think I talk "southern" but I went it Chicago last year and the waitress said, "Are you from the South? Ky?". Lol.

1. Was not really sure what to put for this one but I think I would say 'Crayfish'!
2. I just say fizzy drinks really. If I am feeling informal I might say pop though!
3. You all, but I have to agree with Esmy and I would probably say 'All of you'

Same as me on all of them! :L
I never say pop though, I think I sound like a little kid when I say it. xD I'll normally say fizzy drink or whatever brand that drink actually is. If its a coke, its coke; if its Sprite, its a Sprite. xD

Re: Questions for HC members, I'm curious!
Another UK-er, basically the same as hamsterz4life and Munchalot.
1. B - crayfish
2. C/D - generically I call them fizzy drinks or soft drinks, or "lemonade"/"coke" (when ordering one but not bothered about brand) or a specific brand name if whoever I'm talking to looks confused or offers a choice.
3. C - "everyone"/"everybody" I guess, but it depends on the context.

Crayfish
Soda
Guys or you guys, but I have said you all and y'all. I have a tendency to imitate though, so that influences me. The other day I described a hamster as "poorly," due to it rubbing off me from reading this forum!

I say a hamster is "lovely" or "poorly" (like you) just on here, lol.
