Default So much that is scaring me just now

-A play I have written, scored, and am producing, directing and acting in is being performed at the Ednburgh Fringe. Honoured and excited but terrified as one actress has been away in France the past forrnight and we have not been able to rehearse together or communicate. Nor have we rehearsed in the venue yet or gone over technical aspects. Scared we are cutting it too fine. Scared of getin, getout and running overtime. But these aare surmountable. I will acknowledge the fear and move on.

-Scared about providing for Willow. Scared I will miss signs if she gets ill. Scared of taming. Of her escaping the bin cage by nibbling the plastic edges. Scared of her skitting away down a crack when I am taming her out the cage. Scared that if I don't' buy a silent spinner partner may be chronically annoyed. Scared of making the bin cage. Scared of her being female. But I am in love and will do whatever it takes.

Crisising over. Night all. Thanks for reading if you did.

wow what is your play called? I'm gonna be back in Edinburgh for the Fringe so I may go and see it

I think it's natural for us ham-owners to worry about our little things. they look so fragile and the only thing protecting them is us haha. but I think you've prepared the best you can so there's no point in worrying haha. thinking about making the bin cage is actually more daunting than it seems. once you get down to it, it's just a bit of a bicep-workout (the cutting vents bit anyway). out of curiosity though, why are you worried about her being female?

Morning Thanks so much for these kind reples Things look better after a sleep, a write-down, and of course, after being shared with others.

The play - that's fantastic if you can come and see it, cathface! Do you live in Scotland then? Lougarry, I'll try and get pics - there are some on my facebook site (facebook.com/catherinewheel.sparkler) - especially in my group "Katiana Was Here - Sunrise Theatre". The facebook group gives information about the play and its creation as well, but am happy to answer any questions here too (as long as people don't mind it sounding a little like a plug as a result!) It's going to be on at the Out Of The Blue Drill Hall (Studio Theatre), 36 Dalmeny Street (just off Leith Walk), from 16th-18th of August at 6pm. There will be tickets at the door but if you want to reserve any the email address is [email protected]

Lougarry, yeah that's it - the pyometra - mostly because there doesn't seem to be any preventative measures to take, and I've never had a ham with it before. But there's no point in fretting is there? Yeah, they do seem so fragile, and their littleness and quickness and wrigglability! Even when you've had one, it's a new process getting to know the next one and their little quirks and what is normal for them. Think it's unsettling me that she's at the pet shop and I can't care for her or see her until Tuesday - so in a sense it is easily remediable!

Funny isn't it, how thinking about bin cages is motivating, but thinking about making one YOURSELF can suddenly seem scary I guess once all the materials and tools are there, it seems more manageable too

ahh that makes sense about the pyometra. kind of makes me glad both of mine are boys. but I guess you can't just worry about the worst scenario all the time, right? keep optimistic! c:

and yeah I'm at uni in Edinburgh and since my home is in London, I can't be arsed to make the trip often so I'm mostly in Edinburgh. I'm only ever home three times a year!

Thanks Cath, it would be great if you came along! It's quite a serious topic, but aimed to be presented in a positive light - and there's forum at the end which means you might get a chance to input, influence the action, or act yourself if the fancy takes you

I will try and keep optimistic. Will naturally be watching like a hawk so I will try and learn all I can about her and trust my instincts
