Its a People Thing
"She's crying again, I don't like it when my mom cries," Poppy squeaked to Milly and the others. I know they all squeaked back in succession. It upsets us too. "It makes me so sad when she cries, and I miss her so much," Poppy said.Poppy turned to the others. "Milly, she knows I miss her right? They know we miss them, everyone chanted back to Poppy. "But why do they always cry so much," Poppy asked. They know we are waiting and we will see them again"? "Well, Milly squeaked, "IT'S A PEOPLE THING."
Poppy looked out over the rainbow. The colors of red, blue and pink were all combined together and cast a soft glow over her shiny fur. It gleaned silky in the rays. Milly Patted her head with her tiny paw. "They love us so much and we love them too. Don't be sad, Poppy. Maisie is helping your mom get thru this. Of course no one ever replaces us. We were special." This time everyone chanted "Yes," together.
"Well, Poppy said, I do miss the little things. I miss how mommy always gave me cuddles and called me her princess. I miss her calling me sweetie. Poppy glanced over at the rainbow and across the golden glow of the Rainbow Bridge. I am waiting Mom. We are all waiting. We will see you all again and you can give me cuddles and scratch behind my ear. Don't be sad Mom. We will be together once more."
Poppy turned again to Milly. She had a solemn look on her face. Her black whiskers were perfect, her paws a shiny white. "Milly? If they all know we will see them again then why are they crying? They know don't they? My mom knows I am waiting. We are all waiting?" "Yes, everyone cooed back. They really know, don't they?" "Yes, Milly said, they know, IT'S A PEOPLE THING."
All of a sudden a radiant white light glowed over all of them. The bridge lit up in a golden color and a luminous figure walked across the bridge. Everyone ran towards the figure, tails wagging, furiously. It's my mom somebody shouted. It's for me. It's for me! Bye!! HURRAY could be heard and squeals of delight filled the blue sky. Bye, bye, they all said. Bye! Bye, Poppy yelled loudly. She felt so much better now. She knew for sure she would see her mom again and she knew, she knew, she was waiting.
They could see the figure scoop up their delighted little furry friend. Kisses and licks were exchanged, hugs and more hugs and tears... "See, Milly said, when they all the saw the tears. "IT'S A PEOPLE THING."
I found this on the web and thought it was wonderful I have adapted it abit for my hammies.

Re: Its a People Thing
jeez if youn make me cry one more time today
But it is beautiful, and something i really believe in!
We did about unanswered prayer in R.E the other day and it explained how people don't understand that even though you prayed for a person or pet to get well they still died.
But actually it is because God did listen to your prayer but answered it in a adifferent way, by making them well in heaven.
I'm not a avery strong religious persona nd theers many things i disagree with within my faith, but this was onething i did understand.
The only thing i disagree with in this poem is that i believe a hamster is still with you and you cans peak to them and let them know
