Lady May - Farewell my precious little princess

It is with such sadness that I have to write this message.

My beautiful little mischief, Lady May was put to sleep this afternoon after a short illness. It seems strange to think that two weeks ago there wasn't a sign on her that anything was amiss but I'm glad that I stepped up with the health checks on her following her weight loss. The lump on her chin turned out to be a particularly aggressive tumour which the vet said was likely to grow back if it were to be removed and we both agreed that it was best to prevent my girl from suffering any further.

Lady May was a character, full of beans and highly intelligent as well as being irresistibly cute. I'm really going to miss this little Monkey.

You'll find Stitch, Garfunkel and Meat waiting for you at the bridge with your favourite seeds. Rest in peace, my precious little princess.

She has been buried in the with the rest of the Metallica Hamsters and a sunflower will be planted in her memory.

Oh Fluffagrams I am so upset to read this. Very very sorry indeed for you. What a beautiful little girl and your thread about her was so entertaining. The right decision is not easy to make but you saved her a great deal. She joins the others at the bridge. Big hug for you.

Oh no! I'm so sad to hear this. I've been away so haven't really checked the forum for a few days. What a shock to come home to. I'm so sorry for you Fluffagrams. I'm glad you have to James to comfort you x

Oh so sorry about the beautiful Lady. She was such a beauty and blossomed so much in your care. I am glad she did not suffer much and that I had the privilege of knowing her through your wonderful posts. Thank you for sharing her. God must have wanted her too. RIP lovely Lady May. Fluffagrams I just can't tell you how so very sorry I am for your loss.
She was such a wonderful little girl, so full of life & character, it was always a joy to share in her life & see the strong bond between you grow.
A very special girl & loved so very much, her life was far to short but a very full & happy one with all the love she could have wished for.
I know how much you will miss her & she will be much missed here on HC too.
I hope the cuddly Lord James is comforting you at this difficult time.
