Hi All
Hi everyone.
I'm Emma and I live in the West Midlands, UK.
I currently have two gerbils girls, Artemis and Athena and tomorrow am going to pick up my new hamster!
I'm going to be adopting a 1 year old Syrian girl from a lady who's moving and just had a new baby so can't take care of her anymore.
I had hamsters as a child and one later when i was about 18 but its been a good while and things have changed so much!.
After looking around a lot at the different cages and reviews I've gone for a mamble 100. I know they can be a bit tall but i've bought a large hammock and will be putting in extra levels to make sure she can't fall too far. My last hamster Rocky was in a mostly plastic cage and would hang upside down from the top bars and then drop so i know what they're like. I was so glad to find out gerbils have good depth perception; my girls will often look at the drop from the top of their tank and decide against it but i know hamsters aren't the same.
will post up photo's in a few days when she's settled.

Re: Hi All
Hi & welcome to HC
Well done for adopting your new ham, look forward to hearing how it goes.
The mamble can be a great cage if set up well, there are lots of things you can do to deter bar climbing if need be, I'm sure your ham will enjoy all the space.
