meet Rhubarb!

Yesterday I went and got a new hamster from Pets at home. Although he wasn't from a breeder and probably hadn't been handled much I felt like I was helping him to a better life. He is quite a cutie and I absolutely adore him! He is white with brown-ish splodges all over him he has a brown head, and a white middle and a little stub of a tail. He is really small too! I will post some pictures up soon. I am just hoping that he will last longer than Custard did (6 months).

I'm looking forward to seeing a photo of him. I'm like you, do I go to a breeder which is the most sensible thing to do or give a P&H one a better life.

He sounds great. I got two more from a petshop last week. I really will have to stop going in there as I'm at my limit with 6 now. They are gorgeous though, a black and white sable and a lovely golden syrian.

Badger my black and white sable sounds similar to rhubarb with a white bit around him and black splodges on him instead of brown.

I can't wait to see him, I have three dwarf hybrids and really want a syrian now.. But am going to wait until I can make a tiny bit more room! I love his name by the way. Welcome

thanks everyone! oh, and when I say brown it is just because I don't know what else to call it so when you see him you might call it black or sable. I suppose he looks a bit like the second hamster on Lougarry's signature. anyway, I am going to put photos up soon. Thanks you all!
