Hello!
Hiya, I'm Jemma. I'm 23 and I live in Scotland. It's been a looooong time since I had hamsters - my last was a syrian called Rusty, who was my very first pet! I managed to stumble into rats for some years after that, then dirfted into mice with the big Welsh rescues.
I've got one wee mouse left, Daphne. I love her (and all the others!) to bits but I've had my heart broken once too often by poorly, tumour-prone mice and don't feel ready to take any more mice on. My sister had a lovely chinese ham, who I only met a few times, so I joined here, hoping to figure out if they're my kind of pet.
As well as Daph, I have a seven year old rescued JRT, who keeps me on my toes! The other hairy beast I live with is just my boyfriend hehe.

Re: Hello!
Aww, I'm sure I will! I've yet to meet a a rodent I can't find a soft spot for - even though I seem to be a magnet for the grumpy, unhandled and falling-to-bits ones
Thank you for the welcomes

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum Jemma, I'm sure before you've been here very long you will have yourself a little furry hamster of some sort!! Chinese hammies are the only type I haven't had, but I did have a Syrian called Rusty!!
Your boyfriend comment made me smile!!
