Hybrids?

Does it really work breeding different types together?

I have only had Syrians and roborovski hamsters.

From what I have heard its just with the two Russian hamsters.

So can you only get a Campbell x winter white?

can you get a Syrian, Robo or Chinese hybrid?

It's only the two Russian species that can be interbred to create hybrids, none of the other species can interbreed, Russian hybrids are often (unfortunately) bred with other hybrids so it not always just a cross Campbells & WW.
I should probably add that it's never a good idea, crossing the two species can result in health problems & difficult births, it should never be done intentionally.

Only the two Russian species can interbreed. It's never a good idea to do so, or breed any hamster labelled as WW or Campbell unless you have a pedigree from a well known breeder as well.

Hybrids have health problems, no matter what animal they come from. Breeding is also tricky due to differences in head sizes causing birth complications, and genetic problems being passed on etc.
