Hi, mm I can't get a pic of the underside of Pudding, however I can't see any balls and I also can't see nipples! About half way up his belly is a little bump circle thing, could this be his ,manhood?

I think the little bump circle thing is the scent gland...dwarf hamsters have it on their belly. Unfortunately, I can't help otherwise...my male hams have obviously been male hams

Dwarfies have a scent gland in the middle of their bellies, kind of like a little belly button.
It's more active in the male, so if there's a big greasy patch on his/her belly and looks a little yellowish, it could be a more manly indicator.

Well, I tried. He was being too wiggly for me to even scruff him to get a pic.

He got a bit upset, so I gave him a waxworm to make up for it. :L He's a proud little man.

Can you see the two vents? There is a big gap between the two vents with fur in between if it's a male. Females have the two close together in a little pink bald patch.

Its covered in fur and s/he won't sit still, is it cruel to scruf them?

Not cruel, but most hamsters don't particularly like it. Be careful if you've never done it before because they're delicate little things.
