Default hybrid ID?

sorry for all the hybrid talk lately but i need your opinion on this little one.

6 months old and needs rehoming - owner calling her winter white. i very much doubt she is due to her colouring and face shape, though the insists she did a lot of research before buying as she didn't want a hybrid . her coat is so bizarre, she has to be hybrid???

edited to add: i asked if she had changed colour and she said no...

Sorry i can't see the pictures, though without a proper pedigree its hard to confirm whether the hamster is pure bred. Winterwhites only come in normal, sapphire, pearl and sapphire pearl colourations. With a marble winterwhite variety being recently introduced but not fully established as far as I'm aware.
Here in the UK we consider any hamster crossed, not matter how long ago in its line, to be hybrid. Whereas in other countries (or maybe some people in this country) will consider it pure if the lines were crossed at least a few generations back.

If the hamster needs rehoming it doesn't matter whether its hybrid or not as they make equally lovely pets as any pure species. Though I would check with the owner the hamster is in good health x

Hmm, sort of looks like a normal grey but then sort of doesn't Her face looks very Campbell's to me...

I would say she is a hybrid.

agree re the face - looks pointy! either way i think she looks lovely and is apparently very tame. she's being kept in some horrific crittertrail thing which makes me want to take her even more...

She look's more like a platinum Normal Campbell colour, though not quiet right. But it's hard to tell due to cameras change the colour of things slightly. She does look hybrid
