How many cages do you own?

I have found that the cages in my house are multiplying like Tribbles. If I see a mini Duna on Gumtree or ebay for cheap, I buy it 'just in case'. If I see an Ovo component on sale, I have to have it. If I see a dirt cheap cage at a car boot sale... well, you know!

Right now I have 3 mini dunas, a hamster heaven, 2 criceti 15's, a lot of Habitrail Ovo components, and 2 car boot sale Rotastak cages. Oh yes, and a Peggy Metro I ordered from p@h because I found out they were being discontinued. The Peggy, the Heaven and the Cricetis are the only ones I paid full price for because they are for my own current hammies and i will have them and use them for years. Other than that I am a bargain fiend!!

I use the excuse that eventually I want to be knowledgeable enough to have a hamster rescue and I will need the cages, which is true. But really sometimes I think I just love hamster cages the way some women love shoes!!

Blooming nora! I'd be the same if I wasn't a poor student with not a lot of space (I have a huge flat, just full of crap already).

I have the cage Princess Peaches came in, a really pokey horrible little thing, shoved in the airing cupboard, a Rotastak we got on gumtree in a bag in the hall waiting for someone to take (go on, you know you want to, it's free!) and the current Mini Duna (I think, I get them all mixed up) that Chewy is in. I'd love a big Hamster Heaven, and a couple of the bigger guinea pig sized Dunas. I'd also love to have a zillion pets.. Flats are rubbish! x

I got rid of the two (Crittertrail one? Ithink, and a rip of cirttertrail) i had for Fidget, but kept the last one he was in, but then he ccrossed the bridge, and now Milo lives there

I have 14 cages atm, only 8 are being used!
I have a hamster heaven which i still need to set up and start using and the other 6 cages are spares which ive been trying to sell but noone wants them.

Crikey - am I the only one with one cage with one hamster in it?! I think I would stock pile cages given the chance but the rents would go ape if I came back from car boot sales with extra cages!

i have got 3 cages....2 in use atm. 2 mini dunas and 1 criceti 15 for my syrian. i had 2 dwarfs on the same time...hence 2 mini dunas. after i had to pts my old dwarf i got a syrian....she was upgraded to the criceti 15 pretty soon. i dont really want to throw the spare cage away coz you never know...

Ha ha! Therein lies the problem - 'you never know'' - which when at Pets at Home or browsing Gumtree turns into 'well I DO have a spare cage'....

no...its more like if my syrian is injured and needs to rest or something like that. i cant get anymore hamsters atm. my phd will hopefully be over in 2-2.5 years and i just dont know if i will go back to germany, stay here in scotland or go somewhere compeltely different. if i buy a hamster baby now i will have the problem that i have to take my hammie...i dont really wont to leave it here. so there is no chance for me. i dont have space for the spare cage anyway...its squeezed into a corner with stuff sitting on it

I have 4 cages - 3 in use.
Mini Duna isn't in use, but have a Peggy Metro and two cages without a name in use for my Syrians :')
