New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
Wanted one of these for ages. Love the pale blue and white so very disappointed that it doesnt spin freely. I can turn it jusr fine but it doesnt carry on. Guess i will have to pay to return it, think it was from pet planet.
Very annoying.

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
Anything vegetable oil could fix? Check if anything blocking it, some of my wheels haven't turned and its been fixed by washing in water or getting a pin to clean around where the wheel joins the stand. Those weren't new wheels though so .... I guess you'll have to ask to get a replacement!
Sad to hear this as I was planning on getting the same wheel from petplanet!

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
Check the plastic washers are on correctly as if backwards they will cause Binding(They have a small nub of plastic which SHOULD be facing outwards away from the wheel sides) There should be a washer on each side of the wheel front and back panels.
Also it is suggested by Transoniq(maker of WWs) to apply a small amount of either Olive oil or alike type veggie oil to the axle to assist in it's spinning.

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
I think I had one of my washers wrong when I first assembled the wobust wheel. It should spin though. These assembly instructions seem to show what Nancy was saying. I didn't need to oil mine though and it spun freely when assembled correctly, so if it doesn't I would say you want a refund. My Wobust came from there and it was filthy and wasn't assembled properly,

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
I wipe the spindle with a bit of olive oil after cleaning to stop it squeaking. It shouldn't have the same problems spinning as some it her wheels as there is no ball bearing or anything tight that you can't access. As mentioned above, check it's been correctly assembled as it does make a difference how the two little plastic washers are placed. I'm pretty sure I found a good step by step on the transoniq (who make them) website for reassembling.

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
Washers both looked fine so I emailed petplanet and they are sending a new one. They said not to worry about returning the faulty one.
What good service. Will definately order from them again.

Re: New senior wodent wheel quite stiff
Hi flowerfairy,
When I got my wodent wheel, I had read about a reviewer who had taken the wheel apart, and trimmed about 2 mm.off of the running track lengthwise. He used a sharp knife. Sometimes the wheel won't spin freely because the running track is too wide and makes the wheel too tight. I tried it on mine, and it works beautifully now. Good luck.
