Big hamster cage!
I fancy one of these - ready plastikoted. They also do a 90cm one. Maybe not for hamsters who tend to chew their way out of cages but it looks excellent. Might be worth considering if you're looking for a big cage. Not cheap but on a par with other prices and cheaper than a new tank or Exo Terra.

Although it says the top lifts off the litter tray at the base, I reckon you could still put 20 to 25 cm of substrate in the big one (which is 45cm tall) and just use the top for cleaning out instead of lifting it off the base.

Re: Big hamster cage!
Had a look at the products they do - I like the look of the large guinea pig house with the ramp.

Yes that looks good too. I remember the person who set up making them posted on here once - found them on Etsy when looking for that labyrinth house that Shannon has, but it doesn't seem to be for sale any more.

I have her added on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/HamsterHomesUK/
I like the look of them a lot too, if you had a ham you knew wouldn't chew their way out then they look excellent.

They are really nicely made wooden cages. Would make you tempted for sure. But yes there'd be the worry of hams who like to chew not only their way out but damage it too.

Re: Big hamster cage!
I love these! I follow them on facebook too after they posted on here. Just a bit out of my price range sadly
I have a wooden cage at the moment for Nelly, although there is one corner she chews its not the actual wall part she's chewing, its hard to explain! So I don't think she'll chew her way out. She only does it when she's annoyed at me for putting her away when she's done something naughty like chew the carpet though!

Re: Big hamster cage!
They look fantastic.
Unfortunately, for Lazara and the likes (Experienced, Registered, Qualified, Certified, Licensed, professional "prison" breakers) this beautiful house is just a piece of cake for Sunday Tea.
I would therefore not recommended, a glass tank with fitted wood cover lattice work would be equaly perfect and very suitable.
cheerio.

Re: Big hamster cage!
Hey guys. Id seen some referrals from hamster central on our website so thought I'd come and take a look. :-.
Thanks for the lovely comments above! Its really nice to see my products getting a mention on a forum like this. As I'm new in business it means a lot!
Just thought I' d respond re the chewing. As a hamster owner I realise that may be a concern for folk so I offer replacement parts for any component that gets damaged or soiled over time which would be cheaper than a new cage or you can also replace the whole drawer base. Anyway hope you will excuse the sales pitch and Thanks everyone for looking!
Ps George our robo says hello

Re: Big hamster cage!
I just think it's great that you do a 120cm cage! Some hamsters chew wood, some don't. Sounds like a good replacement service. Ours doesn't chew anything lol (probably too lazy).
