Stewie's New Cage :D (Ferplast Kios)
Stewie got his new cage yesterday it arrived cracked in one of the corners but we repaired it with some epoxy resin and strong tape and it's now feeling pretty solid I've attached a picture of the new cage compared to his old cage (hopefully it'll work) I feel really bad that he was in the smaller set up for so long because that's all I had when I adopted him but I saved up my money and finally got him a cage he deserves he's so so happy, he's been running round like an idiot playing with all his toys since I put him in !

Re: Stewie's New Cage :D (Ferplast Kios)
That's a great upgrade for Stewie! I'm sure he's going to have a great time exploring that
Just one thing I would say, it had a nice deep base so I would be tempted to fill all of it with lovely diggable bedding, chineseys have a reputation for loving a burrow.
Oh and another thing! Why not attach his old cages on top or on the side? They're all Ferplast right? Unless you're going to use them for transport or something, you wouldn't want them to go to waste

It does look good, really nice upgrade!
My first thought was the same as Shannon, I'd really take advantage of the depth & fill it with as much substrate as possible too.

Thanks yes it will be filled up with more bedding next time, unfortunately all that's in the cage at the moment is the only bedding I had left to put in there x

That new cage looks great! It's a nice feeling to give your hamster a larger home.
Stewie is really cute!!!

Re: Stewie's New Cage :D (Ferplast Kios)
Cages always seem to take far more substrate than you expect somehow!
I do love those photos of Stewie btw (how did I forget to say that before?!) he is just totally adorable

Re: Stewie's New Cage :D (Ferplast Kios)
Looks fab! Really pleased you managed to get the corner fixed. Stewie is going to love it! I also agree about getting a few ferplast clear tubes, attaching them to the little clear topped cage at the back and sit it on top of the Kios? The tube would need to be at a long angle though rather than straight up and down for easy access and descent. I`ve seen other members do this as a little loft conversion! x
