Hi taylr1996

I've just noticed the cage you have for Dopey and please don't take offence but it is totally inappropriate for any hamster let alone a Syrian. I've reviewed it or commented on it before on the forum after buying one for one of our Robo's to live in. Safe to say we replaced it within a fortnight!!

There was hardly any room for Rolo out Robo to move about. He is a fair size Robo and was taking up a lot of room in that walk way to the house thingy at the top, i'd be confident in saying that your hamster will out grow this very quickly and more importantly the wheel that comes with it is awful, too small for syrians and there is no way to put a bigger size wheel in there. Quite frankly, they shouldn't be allowed to make them and Pets@Home shouldn't be selling them but hey ho!!

I think you should have a good look at some of the fantastic cages on the market as a replacement for him.

Again, hope you don't take offence, i'm only offering some advice after having first knowledge of this cage and i'm a bit of a stickler for hamsters or small animals in general having bigger than normal cages!!!

Dopey is gorgeous by the way!!

I agree with this, Dopey will soon outgrow it! Cages like this shouldn't be made in the first place

After a big re-arrangement!

Starting from the toppppp-
Halloumi is in the left Imac, Tiddlyfluff is next to him in the other Imac.
Next is Rocha in the blue Gabber Rex.
In the pink ZooZone 1 is Oscar, my wee old Campbells who is 2.5 years old now.
In the red Gabber Rex is pretty Pacha.
In the Ferplast Criceti 15 is Passion
And last but not least, on the floor in the imac + extension is Rio!

Bailey-Benji

where did you get that shelving unit? We have 4 single storey imacs and 2 double storey ones and that would be ideal for us to put our cages on and to free up some space!!

Thanks
CR

I got the shelving unit from B&Q at the start of the year. I'm not sure if they still do them, but they're great! Wide enough to fit most cages (my Ferplast Criceti is 80cm wide!) and they're adjustable so you can just move the shelves to where you want them and therefore no matter what the height of the cage - you can fit it! Was only about £23 as well.

Here is Nibbles' new cage, it's not very big but it's more roomy than the Rotastak that she came in. We intend to extend it, soon, with a slightly smaller cage from the same manufacturer:
