should I change my wws cage?
at the moment I'm thinking of changing my WWs cage, he has a really big rotastak, and loves it. I've started hating cleaning it sinse I have so many and the other cages have just one base which is deep and easy to clean.
my rotastak cost me a few hunden to get all the bits, so I'm not sure if I should get a new cage for him. I was thinking about getting him a duna fun, but would he be happy in it? it's smaller, about half the space of the rotastak (not including tubes) manybe less. it has more room for toys though. what do you think? also getting rid of the rotastak would open up space for another cages or two.
I'm just a bit worried he won't like it, thats all.
oh and does anyone know any duna funs going super cheep, which aren't pick up only. this would help, thanks.

Re: should I change my wws cage?
Hiya, I have 3 single WWs and they really like the plastic tank style cages such as the Duna. I have mine in Gabber Luxes (minus the innards) and tubs. I think a Duna or Duna fun would be a good cage. Mine enjoy having an open top so they can go "ooh mamma, pick me up" when i walk past and i can put my hand in and pick them up. I don't think you can do that with a rotastak.
i've got a Duna fun, but i use it as a travel cage for syrians when i stay over at show places. I don't use the tubes or top shelf. It's a bit of a waste cos i may as well just have a normal mini duna, but hey.

Re: should I change my wws cage?
How old is he ness? If he is an older ham and has always been in the cage I would leave him be and then not put another in that cage. It can be stressful for older hammies to move cage. I imagine a single WW would rather like a rotastac.

Re: should I change my wws cage?
ok what I did was put him in a bin cage for a day while watching him, it had all of his things in. he was happy he made a nest in it and ate food and everything, and so I got another duna fun and put him in it last night, and is haveing loads of fun on toys that weren't able to fit into the rotastak before (due to its hieght and strange shape). he's really happy and I am too, today I'm putting the rotastak way!
I think hes arounf 6months so not too old.
