Bill's first clean out of 2013.

Barney cage with a 28cm Wodent Wheel.

It is a bit basic, I would have more climbing toys etc in there for another hamster but Bill can't climb very well so it is all easy for him at the moment.

Where did you get that cage?
I have always looked for a big cage like that but I can never find one.

Not the owner of the cage, but it's the Barney from zooplus.co.uk. Unfortunately they don't ship to the US. Similar cages in the US are the Kevin 82, Hamster Heaven, and Mickey 2xl, or there's the larger Ferret Kit 100. (They might be cheaper elsewhere, I just browsed Amazon )

^ they're not really natural climbers anyway. what about filling up the base with more substrate? right to the top? he might be a burrower

Thanks, yea I have been thinking about giving him more substrate but he likes piling it all up in the corners and it ends up all over the place outside his cage. I might put some newspaper down and give it a try
