Eek - chewing her way out of a Gabber
I have just had to remove the shelf in Aero's cage - all this time I thought she was standing on it to chew her log bridges ..... but she wasn't:
What is it with these mad girl chewers

better solution you can anchor a tree branch down that hole and trough a shelf I did that with Aphrodite as when she is on heat Louis and Aphrodite go hyper and she get onto the roof some how and chews plastic and metal madly the branch works I just put tiles on the bars during that night and she chews the base of the branch when its not her night

Yes, I'm not sure what to do with her now. Minnie started chewing that area but I spotted it early and taped a metal disc into the hole which has worked a treat - unfortunately Aero's chewed it so much the disc falls straight through on hers

I could maybe try that - the problem is that the hole is now big I dont want her to have access to it all. I'm thinking of leaving her shelf out permanently

better solution turn the gabber top round .so the good hole is above the shelf then out the metal down that one should stop her in her tracks
And jam a fizzy drinks bottle top down the other hole they fit perfectly. and will not fall down
weight it thougth she could push it up

My dad has offered to seal up the hole with a really hard wearing plastic sealant - would that be safe? It would mean I could give her her shelf back - at the moment she's moved into her potty

these girls what are they like? I have a couple I can't put in Gabbers - Princess and Amelie due to their excessive plastic chewing habits. I dont know what to suggest Julie that others haven't, but I have to say that there is this as the major down side to our Gabber love - never mind how hard it is to get them! I am seriously on the look out for alternatives, but those other cages have a lot to live up to.
