Water bottle
I need to find a water bottle for Dasha (yes, i have finally decided on a name). Me, being totally daft, throw out the green holder for the water bottle for the rody cage and it is currently strapped to tubing hanging from the roof of the cage!
Has anyone seen or used this type beofore?

I've seen them, Jane - I'd be interested to know what they are like as I might need to use one in a Rody or a glass tank

I have one of these I got it in a local £1 shop.
They aren't that good - the spouts hang too low so the hammy has to reach awkard for the water bottle (the option is to use the stand with a normal hamster bottle that sits a little higher up).
The bottle just sits in and doesn't clip but is sturdy enough on it's own I would go for it and just use a different bottle

I reckon it's just asking to be chewed! I'd personally use a normal water bottle and some sticky backed velcro.

Using the stand with a normal bottle (one with a better spout)seems like a good idea.

I have one of these, but haven't used it, for when I have my first litter so that I don't have to drill lower holes in the rex.
If you get one, let us know what it's like!

That's a very good idea, Mollz.
This is what we did last time - it worked ok but was a bit annoying as the bottle fell off every time we opened the lid:
I like your idea better and might have to get one for that!

Cheers everyone!
I think i will order it and give it a go. Its only about £2.50 inlc postage and if i dont like the bottle that comes with it, i'll try using a normal one if it fits.
I am off to order it now and will let you all know how it is

Got the water bottle and stand today.... not very impressed with it as it comes. The bottle hasnt got a ball bearing spout, there is just a silver cap over it with a hole in it meaning the water will just come straight out.
So i have sat her own bottle in it for now and it seems to be fine.
I have tried the velcro idea beofre but because the lid is at an angle it doesnt sit right and it comes off!

I think I have a spare one of those green holders if you need it.
I find with the Gabber the best think is to wrap a rubber band round the bottle and then tie the bottle to the cage with string, then when you need to replace the water you just slip the bottle from the string loop. When you but the bottle back you put the string loop over it and make sure its sat on the rubber band. the friction between the rubber band and string stops it moving about
