This is a new thread started in 2012 where you can show off your hamster's cages so other members can get ideas.
The old thread is here Let's See Your Cages

Might aswell add a few of mine, a new year spurred me on to make some changes

Treos been moved into the mini duna, though he doesn't like to believe it, his limited mobility means its better for him to have a small cage now (he also doesn't have a wheel because he hasn't touched his in months)

The Boy WW's now have the much needed space of the zoozone 2 (which is bare for the moment as I will add things gradually)

And Batman has been moved back into the imac criceti 16, which hopefully he will behave in.
The senior wodent wheel arrived today and he adores the hammock (he was sleeping on it last night, hence the bedding on it)

The currently (messy) set up for these 3, I put the zoozone on top of batmans cage when I need it out the way.

This is Scamps er... absurdly giant cage... (Please ignore the stuff by the bed, thats just Christmas chocolate and we don't have a surface in the room spare for it lol)
She adores the rotastak, we originally used the bin for play-space but then got a chance at a second hand hamster heaven locally and er... Scamp got that too
So she now has over 15000 square cm of floor space in total, making her absurdly spoilt, but she uses all of it so we're happy
(No I do not reccomend this for a normal syrian setup lol, we spot clean normally but need to devote hours to cage cleaning on the rare occasions she needs it all changed, and unless you can something like this is definetly not for you.)

This is Whizz in her new ZZ2, she only got it tonight and is absolutely thrilled with the amount of space she has after telling us to give her a bigger cage than her mini duna. It was unmeshed in this photo but we meshed it while she was in the cage - she can't get to the top anyway but we wanted to mesh it just to be sure.
She's in her food bowl in this, just so you can see how large it is compared to her.

This is Skip's mini duna next to Whizz's ZZ2. Skip gets a ZZ2 tomorrow so I'll post that soon, but he's in the mini duna until then (the shop only had one ZZ2 in stock, so ordered us another for collection in the morning), so I figured you can see the setup and how the cage size compares to the ZZ2.

Finally, this is the russians current cage setup. I know people would advise it to be less crowded, but we have tried that and they actually squabbled a lot more. (They were fine for a day or two, then started squabbling a lot more, putting extras in stopped the squabbling so we're leaving it like this for now.) They're a daft lot of hams, but when all is said and done we want them happy. The cage crowded and not huge makes them happiest so thats what they get.

Blimey, Sam! Scamps set up is massive! Wouldn't like to clean that

This is Luna's Savic Hamster Heaven, the pics are a couple of months or so old but it hasn't changed much. I'll get some new pics soon

lol it started as the rotastak and the bin which wasn't actually too bad because she uses the same place for the loo and so we can clean the rest in bits. Some of it can go weeks between clean outs. Then we had a reason to add the hamster heaven... And setting the cage up took a couple of hours lol
Will be quicker now we've determined how it all goes though, plus we won't be cleaning it all at once. She can get her bedroom and toilet cleaned reguarly and the rest will be when it needs it instead.

Oh and... Got Skip his ZZ2 this morning, then when I got in from work (at 10pm lol) we sorted out that for him. Lid has just been meshed and Skip is racing around happily
Based it on the same tiered system as Whizz's, but have a few differences in toys and layout.

Heres the photo!

Ok, here we go

Little man's zoozone 1

Pea's imac fantasy

Munchkin's Hamster heaven, excuse the condensation in his penthouse, I removed it tonight after finding that and gave him an open nest in the bottom instead.

Winter's mini duna, she needs more toys I think.

Phew, done.
